Goat Boy And the Quest for the Ice Staff

A mystery presents itself outside our door. (Click on individual pictures to embiggen.)

We summon our resident solver of mysteries…

Down the hall.

On the storage area's door. The thot plickens.

Gonna be able to fight some serious evil with this; look where it was made! (Nobody does Ice Staffs better than the Chinese!)

Go forth and FIGHT EVIL!

I love where we live. One of our part-time neighbors, Joe, emailed a couple weeks ago to say he'd found this staff and thought H. might like it. With characteristic understatement I hoped would hide my excitement I said I thought Hale probably would.

That's all it took. Tonight… MAGIC! A full-on treasure hunt. An oath even! Just, wow!

Another neighbor, Gina, was the natural choice to help create the spiked helmet which Hale instinctively knew was required. (A true Ice Warrior knows.)

Tonight, Hale is sleeping on clouds of ice crystals, dreams of fighting evil sorcerers with his pet Sabre toothed tiger, Fang, in Valhalla.

Like, Seriously.

Really, really wonderful. This place we live in? It is magic.
